Centrale Lille’s international policy focuses on three areas:

  • Preparing its future graduates for the globalisation of economic activities and for practising their profession in a multicultural environment,
  • To build up a network of graduates abroad so that they can become future contacts for companies in their home countries,
  • Strengthen the dynamism and recognition of its research activity by promoting international cooperation programmes and reinforcing the institution’s international positioning.

Centrale Lille offers a wide range of opportunities for mobility and experience abroad, both for non-degree purposes (work-study programmes, semesters abroad, internships) and for degree purposes (the double engineering degree associated with a Master’s degree and co-supervision and/or co-direction of a Doctorate).

Centrale Lille also offers a wide range of foreign language courses (English, German, Spanish, Chinese, Portuguese, Japanese, etc.). For international students, French as a Foreign Language (FLE) is compulsory.

Centrale Lille’s own international strategy is reinforced by the strategy pursued within the Écoles Centrales Group.

Centrale Lille has been awarded the “Bienvenue en France” label for the 2025–2030 period.
Granted by the Campus France agency and validated by an independent commission, this label certifies the quality of the welcome and support services provided to international students throughout their academic journey and beyond.
By obtaining this distinction at the highest level—3 stars—Centrale Lille reaffirms its commitment to being a globally oriented engineering school where every talent, regardless of origin, can find their place.
